ABOUT

Teach and Learn was built for patients and with patients

The four pillars of our philosophy are highlighted below

You are important!

Doctors need patients and our role is to work with you to improve your health. Doctors are experts in medicine and you are an expert in you. We want to work with you to help you take control of your health.

You are confident and knowledgeable!

Our goal is to provide you with the knowledge you need to understand your health, your conditions, and their treatments. We want to make you a confident expert in you

You can do it!

Teach and Learn is built and centered around empowering you to use your knowledge, skills, and confidence to take action to improve your health with your doctor

You are resilient!

We believe in you and know that you can take control of your health! Even under stress we will work with you to empower you to be resilient and keep maintaining your health even when times are tough

Teach + Learn is an initiative taken on by family physicians, specialists and surgeons in Canada to help educate patients on a wide range of topics requested by patients themselves

Our goal is to empower patients to understand their health so they can take control of it. Our team consists of a number of volunteers who contribute content and our peer review and editorial board assesses the content to ensure the highest educational standards for patients.

Are you interested in joining the team as an Editor? Contributing Content? We are constantly looking for interested medical students, residents, and physicians (from all disciplines) who are interested in contributing. Email us today at — teachandlearnfm@gmail.com
